What I need constantly in my training to be, hopefully, a seer, would be masterly knowledge in the following:

• stellar perturbations
• geometric dynamics
• apparent and event horizons
• gravitational waves
• Kerr spacetimes
• gravitational collapse
• differential geometry
• gauge fields
• combinatorics

At the present moment, I hope to achieve a deeper understanding of the mysterious transition region in astrophysical systems that leads to black hole formation.
